ADVENT TIME OF HOPE
WITH THE SONG OF THE “MAGNIFICAT” WE PRAISE GOD FOR ALL THAT HE HAS ACCOMPLISHED IN MARY, THIS ALSO CONCERNS US. MARY LIVES IN FULLNESS, BY THE GRACE OF GOD, WHAT WE TOO LIVE IN EXPECTATION.
What does Mary’s motherhood say to us? Each motherhood has three times: the conception /development of the baby in her lap/ childbirth
1. Conception: in Mary it is the annunciation (God’s kiss to the earth) it is God who visits the earth. Mary welcomes the Angel’s proclamation and lives the mystery.
2. We are called to welcome God every day he visits us. It is necessary to live moments of personal prayer such as the kiss of Jesus in our lives
In the Eucharist God takes up residence in me and I become the tabernacle /womb of God. Do I have this awareness?
3. Mary gives birth to her son: it is Christmas! Mary’s motherhood is the ultimate meaning of our Christian vocation. Mary cares for her son and gives it to her brothers and sisters
We too have the task of guarding /donating/ living the mission
We ask to live with intensity the expectation/Advent, to understand the Mystery of God the Father. of God Son of God Spirit
Every wait is an advent : our expectation is the expectation of Jesus
Waiting for the new times when “peace” finds its home
Waiting for a new meaning for our lives
Waiting for him to bring joy and peace
Our “dream”, indeed a desire, a hope that even in our communities we will come to breathe that climate of freshness, of openness of the heart, of courage, in the grace of the Spirit, of Christian life that becomes solidarity, a journey of grace
I am going to come and visit you, God has become one of us to tell us that He is the God with us.
He has become weak, humble, poor, because he wants to be with everyone, but first and foremost with the weakest!
This is who we await, a God present in every man and woman, a God present in the Eucharist,
Our expectation has a name : JESUS OUR HOPE.
We all need hope, no life is as poor as that of those who have no hope. We hope because we have the certainty of God’s fidelity. God loves me, that’s our hope. And He doesn’t go back, even if we reject him
The Christian is the man of hope because God, in the Risen Christ, has conquered once and for all the fear of death Hope… in spite of everything, it is not an easy optimism, but the strength that drives us to live, that gives meaning to living
These days when everything is being questioned… from the fear of not making it.
I wonder: Are we going to get transformed, improved? We don’t know, just hope so. I hope so infinitely
The Bishop of Pinerolo Mons, Derio, who experienced the experience of coronavirus disease dramatically. So he wrote.:
..” it is not enough to return to celebrate to think that you have solved everything. ” is not a parenthesis,— no longer communities folded in on themselves and their own organization, but open, humble communities, full of hope; communities that infect with passion and trust We need to create in the parish a place where it is nice to meet, where we can say: “here you can breathe a climate of community” Not a Church that goes to church, but a Church that goes to everyone. Full of enthusiasm, passion, hope and affection…”
Blessed is the advent, a time of grace, I hope and wish everyone to live it in poverty like Mary: here I am your servant…
Poverty is an inner gift, a clear look, a clean soul, a welcoming heart “empty” from the things that clutter our lives and our days
Let us set out with the shepherds: “let us get to know what has been said about the Child”
