NEWSLETTER – CONGREGATION OF THE MOST PRECIOUS BLOOD – NOSSA DAS DORES PROVINCE – BRAZIL (April / May 2021)
The liturgical celebrations of the Easter season mark the beginning of the month of April, a period par excellence for our Congregation to live the charism more intensely and for the rich spirituality that surrounds us, “Jesus emptied himself, taking the form of a servant , making himself like men; And, found in the form of a man, he humbled himself, being obedient to the point of death, and death on a cross. (Phil 2:7,8)’’
HOLY THURSDAY (01/04) – With the Holy Mass of the Lord’s Supper, the Church begins the Easter Triduum and commemorates the Last Supper. Jesus, by washing the disciples’ feet, wants to demonstrate His love for each one and show everyone that humility and service are the center of His message, on the night Jesus was betrayed, He offered His Body and Blood to the Father under the species of Bread and Wine, and he gave them to the apostles so that they could take them, sending them also to offer to his successors.
GOOD FRIDAY -(02/04) Good Friday afternoon presents the immeasurable drama of Christ’s death on Calvary. The cross, raised over the world, remains standing as a sign of salvation and hope. With the Passion of Jesus, according to the Gospel of John, we contemplate the mystery of the Crucified, with the heart of the Beloved disciple, of the Mother, of the soldier who pierced his side.
EASTER vigil (01/04) – All the special elements of the vigil want to emphasize the fundamental content of the night: the Passover of the Lord, His passage from death to life. It is a vigil in honor of the Lord, so that the faithful, following the exhortation of the Gospel (cf. Lk 12,35-36), have their lamps lit, as those waiting for their Lord to arrive, so that he may find them in vigil. and invite them to sit at your table.
OUR COMMUNITIES AND SCHOOLS HAVE EXPERIENCED THE
PASCAL TRIDUO IN A JOYFUL PARTICIPATORY WAY

Still in the joys of the octave of Easter, the 3rd stage of the annual Retreat began from 11 to 17/04 with the theme “Disciples of the Lamb”. Sister Valéria and Sister Alainhe conducted the reflections with Biblical and Theological foundations.

Our religious Family has one more member in heavenly glory who now enjoys eternal joys and intercedes for us. On April 18, after a long period of life given as a “victim capable of being consummated for the glory of God and for the salvation of others” (cf. Const 9), our dear 76-year-old SISTER ELIETE PAIXÃO PINHEIRO welcomed the precious gift to celebrate the eternal Easter.

Continuing the month of April, our Congregation, on 25/04, promoted vocation moments by celebrating the 58th World Day of Prayer for Vocations, with the theme: Saint Joseph: the dream of vocation. In the preparatory triduum, Pope Francis asked us to live from the 3 words: dream, service and fidelity. Looking at St. Joseph, we can live God’s dream, serving his Kingdom and in the fidelity that is built on a daily basis.

Opening of the month of May, month of mothers and of Our Lady, our schools streamline this period in a simple and creative way, in addition to our students and employees, families are also contemplated.
